XIROField guide
Field guide

Set it up once. Then just say it.

Everything you need to use XIRO well: installing it, the screen at a glance, setting up the six features people love most, and a phrasebook of 99 skills with words you can copy and say.

99 skills6 recipesWindows 10 & 11
01 · INSTALL

Install and activate in three steps.

You'll need Windows 10 or 11, a microphone, and the licence key from your purchase email.

Install

Run the installer (XIRO-Setup-version.exe). It installs just for you, with no admin rights, and adds a Start menu entry.

Activate

On first launch, choose Sign in with Google and use the Google account you paid with, or paste your key (it starts with XIRO-). This computer becomes one of your three.

Add your AI

Paste a Google Gemini key from Google AI Studio, which is free and takes a minute, or choose a local model.

Then the setup wizard asks five things

It asksWhy it matters
Your name and how to address youYour name and a title such as "Sir" or "Boss", or one of your own.
Your languages, in orderA first and second language, and whether XIRO should follow you when you switch.
A voiceYou hear each one first. There are 24 to choose from, and you can change it any time.
A personality styleFrom formal to playful. Each style is written as rules for how it behaves.
Your AI keyGemini is needed for the live voice. Other providers are optional and can be added later.

Moving to a new computer? Free up the old one in your licence portal, then activate on the new one. Updates arrive inside the app, one click each.

02 · THE SCREEN

Every ring on the screen has a name.

The control row sits at the bottom right. Hover over any ring to see its full name and shortcut.

ControlWhat it doesKey
CHATShows or hides the chat column.—
MIC / OUTMutes your microphone, or XIRO's spoken replies. With push-to-talk on, MIC becomes TALK: hold it while you speak.F4 mic
DNDDo not disturb. It stops listening, and reminders, cards and sounds wait until you switch it off.—
STOPStops everything happening right now: speech, the running task, sound and video.Esc
SYNCA real restart, so every change takes effect.F5
FLOWWatch what XIRO is doing with what you said, and see the ledger of every instruction.Ctrl+F
WORKSPACEYour task board (To do, Doing, Blocked, Done), people, links and notes, and health records.Ctrl+Shift+W
MAPThe memory map: everything XIRO keeps, in seven views. RINGS numbers the areas in order; 3D MIND is a turning ball of every memory and link, with light running along the links; 3D SPACE is a mind map all round XIRO, where clicking a node unfolds or folds its branch. Drag to turn, scroll to zoom, and press L to hide or show the labels.Ctrl+Shift+M
INFOThe info terminal: briefings, search results and reports.Ctrl+I
LOCKLocks XIRO behind your face, voice or PIN.Ctrl+Shift+L

Also useful: F1 the in-app guide, F8 models & keys, Ctrl+M quotas and usage, Ctrl+L logs, Ctrl+K search everything, Ctrl+Shift+D the case board, Ctrl+Shift+A the WhatsApp link, Ctrl+Shift+B the WhatsApp Business dashboard.

Rather hold a key to talk? Turn on push-to-talk in System → App preferences → Audio devices. The microphone then opens only while you hold Ctrl+Space (or the key you pick, anywhere in Windows) or the TALK ring, and letting go sends your words at once. On the same screen, an offline wake word such as “Hey Jarvis” keeps everything you say on the PC until it hears that word.

STOP or SYNC? STOP cuts things off without restarting anything. Use SYNC if XIRO still seems stuck, or after changing a setting. Work you gave the office, meeting mode, order-desk replies and scheduled reminders keep going on purpose. Stop them by name, for example "Switch the desk off."

03 · THE BASICS

One clear instruction is a good start.

Start simple

"Open Calculator." "Show system status." Short instructions are the quickest to get right.

Give the details

Name the file, person, date, folder or result you want. XIRO won't invent the missing parts.

Ask for proof

"Tell me where you saved it." A spoken "done" isn't the same as a file on disk.

The pattern that works: action + subject + limits + where the result goes. For example: "Create a one-page summary of this PDF in plain English and save it as summary.docx on my Desktop."

04 · FACE & VOICE LOCK

Make XIRO open only for you.

  1. Open Menu → System → Biometric Setup and choose Set Up Face Access. Follow the two random prompts, which prove it's really you.
  2. Write down the one-time recovery code it shows you and keep it somewhere safe.
  3. Record your voice on the same screen to add a voiceprint. Set a PIN or password too. It's the backup, and it's what protects the vault reset.
  4. Lock any time with Ctrl+Shift+L or the LOCK ring.

Unlock fails in a new room? Use Improve recognition here on Biometric Setup. It needs your PIN and only accepts samples that still match you.

05 · PASSPHRASE VAULT

Your private life, behind words only you know.

The vault keeps what you share about your family, relatives, office and projects. It opens only to a spoken passphrase.

To…Do this
Set it (first time only)Say "set my spheres passkey to" followed by your phrase.
Open itSay your passphrase. After five wrong tries it locks for five minutes, and it relocks after fifteen idle minutes.
Change itSay the current passphrase along with the new one, or use Change passphrase on the Secret vault card.
Reset a forgotten oneSystem → Biometric Setup → Secret vault → Reset passphrase, with your XIRO PIN or password. What's inside is kept.
Add your voice as a second keySay "Also require my voice to reset the passphrase". Turning it off needs your PIN.
06 · ORDER DESK

Your business answers while you work.

The front desk answers customers on WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger and Instagram. It takes orders and gives support in the customer's own language, by text or voice note, using only the items, prices, hours, limits and rules you set.

  1. Describe your business. "Set the business name to [name]." "Set opening hours to 09:00–21:00, Monday to Saturday."
  2. Add what you sell. "Add [item] to the desk at [price] per [unit]." Set a delivery fee and any limits, such as a maximum order total.
  3. Set the rules. Tone, greeting, languages, what it must always or never say, and when to hand a customer to you.
  4. Try it privately. "Test the desk with [message]" shows the answer without sending anything. "Call the desk" lets you phone it from your own microphone.
  5. Connect a network and switch it on. "Check the desk setup" lists what each network still needs. Then: "Switch the desk on."

One window for the whole business: Ctrl+Shift+B opens the WhatsApp Business dashboard. Coloured pills along the top say whether the Cloud API, the webhook, the desk and your owner line are healthy. The Today row counts replies, orders, revenue, payments to verify, open claims and people waiting for you. Each chat says plainly whether XIRO or you is answering, and each order shows its stage on a step-by-step bar, with a switch to tell the customer when it moves.

Staying in charge: "Show today's orders." "Take over [customer]" stops the desk replying to that person until you hand them back. Payment screenshots are treated as a claim, never as proof. Instagram replies are text only.

07 · AI OFFICE

Give work to colleagues who really do it.

Open the office from the MENU or say "open the office". Your Chief of Staff runs the floor, and each colleague has a role, a desk and a voice.

You want to…Say
Hand over a job"Ask [name] to [task] and save it on my Desktop."
Check progress"What is [name] working on?" or "Show the team report."
Get a second opinion"Ask [expert] about [question] for [name]."
Hold a meeting"Call a meeting about [topic]." Each person speaks in their own voice.
Hear the stand-up"Give me the morning stand-up." The Chief of Staff reports from the team board.
Get a draft reviewed"Have someone review [name]'s draft." The author files a version 2.
Start from a template"Set up the office for a clinic." Law firm, shop, agency and school are also available.

On the 3D floor, glass walls look out on a garden or a city, the light follows the sun where you live (press L for morning, afternoon, evening or night), and Follow keeps the camera behind one colleague with a card saying what they are doing.

What happens behind the scenes: the lead writes a brief, a colleague builds real files in one folder, a tester checks them, problems go back to be fixed, and the finished work lands where you said, with a README and the QA report. Without a place named, it goes into the office folder set in Settings.

08 · MENTORS & LEARNING

Lessons that cite their sources.

Mentor

"Give me today's lesson." "Teach me about negotiation." "Investor clinic: gold." Set your mission once and every lesson follows it. Information, not financial advice.

Language tutor

"Teach me Arabic from English." It checks your level, then gives daily spoken lessons, gentle corrections and spaced review.

Study coach

"Make me a study plan for [exam]." "Quiz me on chapter three." Plans, quizzes and reminders to keep you going.

The mentor library holds 1,049 books in three tiers: core, strong supporting material, and reference.
